Here’s some good news for you iPhone jailbreaking aficionados out there. The iPhone Dev Team has just announced the release of PwnageTool 3.1.5 for the Mac OS X in response to the Apple’s roll out of iPhone OS 3.1.3.

They do, however, recommend that you stay clear of this latest iPhone firmware unless you really feel that it’s necessary to update to this new software release. iPhone 3G S users who have already updated to OS 3.1.3 need to downgrade to OS 3.1.2 for this new PwnageTool to work successfully. You can find instructions on how to go about this here. If you can’t downgrade for whatever reason, this current iPhone 3.1.3 jailbreak won’t do you any good.

The iPhone Dev Team has a bunch of other reminders which you can find here that they strongly urge you to read first before deciding to update your iPhone’s firmware as well as info on where you can download iPhone PwnageTool 3.1.5. After you’ve read all their warnings and still manage to muster up enough courage to try this out, don’t forget to hit us up in the comments section below as we’d certainly love to hear how it goes for you.

It comes loaded with a 1GHz processor, WGA touchscreen (not sure though of its size – 3.5-inch or 3.7, but it appears to be an AMOLED display), optical trackpad, camera (rating unknown) with dual LED flash, and HTC Sense running in tandem with Android 2.1.

Here’s its first appearance in front of a video camera:

It’s definitely confirmed on Verizon as evidenced by the carrier’s logo appearance during start up though pricing and an exact release date are both still yet to be revealed. Will it cross the border and become available in Canada as well? Only time will tell, but we’re certainly hoping so.

Rogers was the first to go live with their HSPA+ network, but it didn’t take log for others to catch up. Bell and Telus were next in line with Virgin Mobile launching theirs earlier this month and soon, both Videotron and SaskTel will have their respective HSPA+ networks up and running too.

So, where does Kodoo Mobile fit into the grand HSPA picture in Canada? Nothing’s confirmed yet, but Mobilesyrup got a tip that they might flip the switch of their HSPA network to on sometime in April or May. That’s just a couple of months away, and what’s even better is that there’s also news that they’ll be offering up the iPhone and other new smartphones to beef up their current mobile phone line-up. Great news, but again, this is still yet to be confirmed.

With that being said, this should serve as a good tip as to what we should all look out for in the coming months as far as Koodo Mobile is concerned. If any of these are true, it shouldn’t be long now before we hear an official announcement from them regarding their new HSPA network or their iPhone and other new handset offerings.

No, Telus hasn’t announced a release date yet, but fortunately, Best Buy Mobile has.

They’ve posted this banner on their website letting everyone know that they will have the Android-powered Motorola Milestone slider in stores by February 18th. In fact, they’re now already accepting pre-orders for this highly anticipated device. For as little as a $50 in-store deposit, you can now assure yourself a Motorola Milestone once it arrives in Best Buy stores across the nation this month. Check it out here.

Pricing still isn’t available though. However, word around the net is that it will retail for $199 on a 3-yr contract and $549 outright purchase. So, now that it’s official on Best Buy, will you be pre-ordering a Motorola Milestone today?

Nokia’s newest handset, the 6303i, doesn’t stray far in terms of design from its predecessor, the 6303 Classic. With the exception of its lighter color scheme, it’s basically one and the same phone.

As far as its specs go, there’s also very little to cheer about as well. Sure, the Nokia 6303i Classic now boasts of more internal memory (55MB up from 14MB) expandable via mircoSD card (max of 8GB up from 4GB) and better battery life (8 hours talk, an hour longer than the 6303 Classic), but let’s face it, people nowadays expect more especially when it comes to version upgrades. The inclusion of WiFi or 3G connectivity would have been nice, but sadly though, neither made it to the table.

Anyway, for Nokia fan boys out there looking for a new mid-level handset to purchase this 2010, this will probably be more up your alley. The Nokia 6303i will begin shipping to select markets this first quarter with an estimated retail price of €105 ($144) before tax and subsidies are applied. You can read the full press release here.

This new phone from the no. 2 phone maker in the world boasts of a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording capabilities, WiFi (802.11n), GPS, DivX support, 3.5mm jack, the latest version of TouchWiz running on top of Android 2.1, and a speedy 800MHz processor. It’s already confirmed for release in Korea via SK Telecom this March so it doesn’t comes as a surprise that it also pack a T-DMB tuner as well. No word though on its pricing, and if it’ll be available elsewhere. You can check out more pics of the Samsung M100S by heading on over here.

On a similar, it’s already reported that Samsung will release an Android 2.1 update in the second quarter for the Samsung Galaxy (available on Bell in Canada). So if it happens that this new Samsung M100S Android phone doesn’t become available in the North American market, you can at least look forward to enjoying some Android 2.1 goodness on your Samsung Galaxy phone in the near future.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the Nokia C5. Based on a report by DailyMobile, this is apparently one of the two mobile phones (the other one being the C3) Nokia will be debuting this year to pioneer their brand new Cseries collection.

The Nokia C5 will feature a 2.2-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera, A-GPS, HSPA connectivity, 3.5mm jack, 50MB internal memory expandable via microSD card, and runs on the S60v3 FP2 platform. Judging by its specs and looks, we reckon that this particular Cseries phone will be released as part of the entry-level segment of the market.

A previous rumor suggested that this will be launched by Nokia on January 26th. That obviously never materialized, but with the MWC just around the corner, hopefully, the Finnish company will finally make this and its sibling, the Nokia C3, official already before the month comes to a close

This new Motorola Android slider packs a 3.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, full QWERTY keypad, optical trackpad, WiFi, Bluetooth, dual microphones with noise cancellation, CDMA EVDO rev. A connectivity, Android 1.6 as its OS complete with MOTOBBLUR, and ships with an 8GB microSD card. It’s expected to hit store shelves this coming March though pricing is still yet to be known.
The announcement of the Motorola DEVOUR should be good news to QWERTY lovers out there as this newest device coming to Verizon belongs to a very limited number of QWERTY-equipped Android phones in the market right now which include the Motorola Droid, Motorola Cliq, LG Eve, and the granddaddy of all Android phones, the HTC Dream.
